Big Turn
The Big Turn is a bariatric full body lateral rotation mattress with low air loss and pulsation therapies. The Big Turn is used as a replacement mattress that can support patients weighing up to 1000 pounds.
The Big Turn provides continuous low air loss therapy in all function settings including during rotation. If there are times when rotation is not desired, the pulsation mode can be used to provide active pressure redistribution by increasing and decreasing pressure over the entire body at preset cycle times.
In addition, percussion and vibration therapy can be added to the Big Turn. The control settings allow for three areas of the lung to be percussed and vibrated independently with varying degrees of pressure, from very soft percussion and vibration to a very aggressive degree of therapy. The nurse can begin the therapy and walk away knowing the control will automatically stop the therapy at a prescribed time.
